Obvious political allegory seen in China never even considered in Hollywood

6 Apr 2016

China is  no longer literally starving and this is not in your Chinese takeout dinner but its still pretty lol. Also snakes in a box. A glass box. And a snake. Snake with a gun! OMG SNAKE WITH A GUN !

Second woman PLA major general under corruption investigation

The women were recruited for the unit at the No.14 Field Army base in Kunming in Yunnan province. Yang Yuchang, an instructor in the brigade, was quoted as saying.

Yang said "women? sneaky creatures. snakes? sneaky creatures! CAGE FIGHT!"

A woman recruit pictured retrieving a rifle from a box with a live snake in it. Photo: Xinhua

One recruit, a woman sniper, beat most of her male rivals after finishing a 10km race, the article said. She used a leather whip for the beating. She may have been nearly naked. Whether she was clothed or entirely naked during the beating  is a military secret!!!

The report has sparked a bi-polarised response on Chinese social media.
