莺 the Chinese phoneme ying appears to refer to many varieties of beautiful birds such as hawks, falcons and eagles 鹰,  parrots 鹦 and orioles 鶯
This particular ying莺 is an oriole, which are known for singing beautifully.

etymology: in the traditional character 2 bright flames火 on top indicate the orioles flaming color. The covering radical 冖 indicates this is a bird 鸟 which likes shelters like eaves. The simplified character replaces the two fires on top with the grass determinant 艹 to make writing it a bit easier.
