Are you interested in discussing the current situation in Ukraine from a multi-lateral perspective?
Have you always wanted to explore the different paths towards democratisation and integration in
Europe in the last 20 years? Are you passionate about intercultural exchange between Germany,
Poland and Ukraine? Then apply now for our tri-national summer empowerment experience meeting
and workshop entitled “change-exchange-transformation”!

From 27 July to 2 August 2014, you will have an opportunity to work together on a variety of topics
and actively bring in your own point of view on good and bad governance, the influence of the
economy on political life, the power of society, freedom of the media, perspectives of a common
future and more. Whether this is in workshops, debates, exchange with experts or themed study
trips in Berlin – the seminar offers a wide range in order to extend both your professional and
personal skills. The seminar will be held in English.
The seminar is a joint project between the European Academy Berlin, the Polish Robert Schuman
Foundation in Warsaw, the Institute for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation in Kiev and the Konrad Adenauer
Foundation (Kiev), supported by the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation and other funding
institutions. If you want to be part of our empowerment experience, please think briefly why, fill in the
registration form and send it to the organisers. German participants please send their registration to
Claudia Rehrs (cr@eab-berlin.eu), participants from Poland to Marek Peda (m.peda@schuman.pl)
and participants from Ukraine please apply to Ganna Grebennikova (ann.grebenn@gmail.com).
Thanks to our funding institutions we are able to cover most of the costs of your stay in Berlin (six
nights in a double/triple room, including board, transport costs during the programme and
expenditure for working material). Nevertheless we need to charge a moderate participation fee:

There might be a possibility for participants from Poland and Ukraine to receive a partial refund
of incurred travel costs.
