博 this bo originally meant “to gamble” and thus by extension to calculate and also riches, plenitude. The field in the middle right 田 with the sprout above it symbolizes wealth which is calculated, the pinching hand 寸 below indicates the grasp of the calculating gambler. The left side in traditional is the heart 忄 in simplified it’s a cross; though it’s said to be 10 it also resembles the Christian’s cross．
