The failures of US foreign policy since 2000 have been catastrophic and can be summed up as:
Unilateralism
Torture
Neocons
Building up the Chinese dictatorship while outsourcing jobs & industries to it.
Diabetes, Drugs, Obesity, Declining Life Expectancy (thanks for the fentanyl China)
I’m implicated in none of that, and in fact am in print opposing all of it at the time it was happening.
I can easily imagine the radical polarization of U.S. politics as leading to political paralysis both at home and abroad. It is entirely possible the USA will retreat into neo-isolationism.
